Achievements

Landmark Farm's Teeming Triumphs

Head Trainer Brad Cutshall has over 30 years of competition experience and more than 200 upper level championships - a majority of them being at the Grand Prix. Many of his achievements are listed below, but especially notable is the 86.6% he achieved on the Friesian stallion Mintse. Brad has the experience and background to help every student at Landmark Farms be successful and reach their riding goals.

Gold Medal Students

Not all dressage competitors aspire to ride to the Grand Prix level but most express an interest in earning at least one USDF medal. This is by far the most successful and recognized awards program within the United States Dressage Federation. Many people look at obtaining their medal or medals as a great sense of accomplishment and a badge of distinction.  Brad's student have archived countless USDF bronze, 26 silver and 7 gold medals to date.

"I want to qualify for regionals this year"

Qualifying is one of the most important goals we hear from dressage competitors today. Since 1986, between 6 and 26 riders have qualified for a regional champtionship each year from Landmark Farms.

Throughout the years Brad's students have earned multiple Regional championships and Reserve championships at the lower and upper levels.  In 2004 Landmark Farms’ horses swept the Region 4 championships at the upper level by winning the Prix St. George, Intermédiaire I, Intermédiaire II, and Grand Prix championships. At Landmark Farms, we help every rider to go beyond the level they thought they could achieve.

Several young riders from Landmark Farms have competed in the Young Riders program. We are especially proud of Clair McNulty, who achieved the individual Gold Medal at the 2015 NJYRC championships held in Kentucky, and received a silver medal in the freestyle.

Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

Summer of 2010 marked the first time that the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games were held in the USA. As part of the games an opening ceremony was organized to showcase the event. Different breeds, riding disciplines and musical acts made up the much-anticipated opening ceremonies, which played in front of a nearly sold-out crowd. Included was William Shatner driving his American Saddle bred as well as the Friesian stallion train from the Netherlands where Brad Cutshall was one of two Americans invited to participate.

"It was an honor to be asked to perform their famous ten-horse dressage freestyle." Atop Friesian Connection's renowned and talented Mintse 384, under the jumbotron, Brad and the accompanying riders rode with the aid of a full orchestra, a nearly flawless performance. "It was a one of a kind experience I will never forget."

“I love riding with Brad. He makes me laugh and he gets the most out of every horse and rider combination that comes before him. Every time I ride for him I feel there is a major or a mini break through. He has a way of getting the most out of you and your horse with out fear or intimidation but with humor and grace.”

Dressage Training

The key to our success has been finding out how the horse prefers to work, and what makes them happiest. This involves getting them comfortable in their training and, equally important, their mind and body. If your horse is comfortable and happy, they will not only work for you but with you.
